How do you draw detail into stained glass windows

l am interested in doing staiend glass, but l was curious how l might add

things like facial detail etc, without it looking stupid. Anyone know how

There are a few great books on painting and baking the glass  
C.T.
for the church style. Try to find Traditional Glass Painting Made Easy

DVD Lesson 1 and 2. Each runs about 40 but it looks like it walks you
